IDS 4980 Senior Design I and II

As part of the FIU Engineering curriculum, all engineering students must complete a 2-semester senior design project. Alongside 3 others, my team (Covitrix) is working on the design and development of a wearable device for remote monitoring of COVID-19.

My specific role in this project throughout the course of the Fall semester was to serve as the outreach, thesis, and entrepreneurial lead. As the outreach lead, I was in charge of contacting various institutions/labs across the United States who could provide more insight on the COVID-19 devices they are working on. As the thesis lead, I was in charge of reviewing our final thesis before submission for Senior 1. As the entrepreneurial lead, I was in charge of looking at how the commercialization of our device would look like.

Throughout the course of this project thus far (Senior 1), we have been able to tie in the various team members' knowledge and expertise in areas including but not limited to electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, mobile application development, biomedical sciences, business management, economics, and commercialization. Alongside our pre-existing and newly acquired knowledge, we were able to gather various sources of information that have provided us the optimal springboard for senior design 2.

Need to add the additional courses!
